I joined She Soars because its mission reflects so much of what I value and want to contribute to my community. The focus on advancing mental health equity for youth and young adults—especially Black female-identifying individuals—deeply resonates with me. Growing up, I saw how conversations around emotional well-being were often overlooked or stigmatized, especially in Black families and immigrant communities.

Being part of a youth-led initiative like She Soars allows me to help change that narrative. I love that She Soars empowers young women to lead healing-centered, culturally responsive work that fosters resilience and community transformation. For me, joining She Soars is both personal and purposeful—a chance to use my voice and experiences to help build spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and capable of leading change.
