On Tuesday, November 18th, She Soars partnered with Athena’s Warehouse to host a truly inspiring workshop focused on understanding stress, navigating anxiety, and building positive self-talk. It was one of those spaces where you could literally feel the energy shift—girls walked in carrying the weight of school, relationships, family, and expectations. They walked out with tools to better understand themselves and their emotions.

We kicked things off with an honest conversation about what stress and anxiety look like day-to-day. The girls shared everything from academic pressure to social dynamics to the quiet worries they sometimes don’t say out loud. Together, we broke down how these stressors manifest in the body and mind, and why it’s essential to recognize them early rather than letting them pile up.

We closed the session with one of our favorite creative exercises — designing personalized affirmation mirror cards. The girls tapped into their strengths, writing encouraging messages they can stick on a mirror, locker, laptop, or notebook as a daily reminder of their worth and resilience.

Partnerships like this are what make the work feel event more purposeful. She Soars is proud to collaborate with organizations like Athena’s Warehouse that are equally committed to empowering young women to understand their mental health better and find confidence in their voices.

This workshop was just one step, but it planted seeds of self-awareness, self-love, and community support — and we’re excited for everything that grows from here.

These experiences have strengthened her passion for advocacy, mental wellness, and creating meaningful change within underserved communities.
